Description
All of our CBD Oil Tinctures are made with our Organic Full Spectrum CBD Oil that we have extracted, and Organic MCT Oil. Full spectrum oil is also called whole plant extract, which means the oil contains all of the compounds that are in the plant, and in the ratios and amounts nature intended.
Tinctures are medications or supplements put into a liquid form. To administer the tincture, drop the desired amount of oil under the tongue, then hold it there for 60-90 seconds, then swallow. This is called sublingual administration, meaning under the tongue. When CBD is taken sublingually, the onset of action is generally within 15 minuets. Sublingual absorption bypasses the GI tract, where stomach acids and bile can break down medication. Sublingual absorption allows the medication to go directly into your bloodstream. This makes tinctures an excellent choice when needing quick relief. CBD oil tinctures may also be directly applied to the skin for a variety of skin conditions.
Dosing
Dosing CBD is very individualized. While some only need 10 mg of CBD, others may need 40 mg or more for the desired effect. The severity of the condition being treated may also affect the dosing and frequency of CBD taken. The typical suggested dose to start at is 10 mg, taken 1-2 times daily. Then you may increase your dose every 3-4 days, if needed, until desired effect is reached. CBD is metabolized in the liver, as are many other medications.
